Redwood and SAP have been strategically partnered for almost two decades. Being a partner means co-developing APIs so you can deploy automations out of the box without wasting resources on custom solutions. No matter how your tech stack evolves, RunMyJobs can seamlessly connect your systems and data.
Since 2004, Redwood has aligned its product strategy and roadmaps with SAP and was responsible for creating SAP Business Process Automation (BPA) by Redwood, a solution that was built directly into the on-premises versions of SAP ERP.
As SAP transitioned its ERP platform to the cloud with S/4HANA Cloud, Redwood strengthened its role as SAP’s preferred WLA provider by launching RunMyJobs, the successor to SAP BPA by Redwood. This move made RunMyJobs the first 100% native-SaaS job scheduler to achieve SAP Certified integration with RISE with SAP with S/4HANA Cloud.

SAP Build Process Automation (SAP BPA) should not be confused with SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood (SAP BPA by Redwood). These are separate solutions that have both solutions been referred to by the acronym “BPA," but they are distinctly different solutions.
SAP Build Process Automation is an SAP product that is part of SAP BTP and helps you build custom automations in a low-code environment.
SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood is the prior generation of RunMyJobs by Redwood, which was white-labeled for SAP ERP. SAP support for this product will end in December 2024.
SAP BPA by Redwood is not being discontinued. However, support for the product will end in December 2024, as SAP’s strategic goal is to transition customers to their S/4HANA cloud-ready platform. SAP has made a decision to no longer support the underlying JAVA platform (NetWeaver application server) and all applications that depend on it. SAP BPA by Redwood was dependent on that JAVA stack and server.
Users are strongly encouraged to move to RunMyJobs by Redwood for even more advanced workload automation capabilities, a fully supported user experience and guaranteed access to new releases.
SAP BPA by Redwood is not being replaced automatically. Because support for the product is ending, Redwood and SAP are encouraging users to transition to the future-ready version: RunMyJobs by Redwood.
RunMyJobs was the first automation solution to offer an integration to S4/HANA. It has the most SAP certifications of any job scheduler and serves as an end-to-end process automation solution for streamlining business and IT processes.
With RunMyJobs, you get a single point of control for configuring, monitoring and managing end-to-end process automations across your organization. Use its intuitive low-code/no-code interface and templates to develop new automations, and view the real-time status of those automations via a convenient dashboard. You’ll experience the benefits of Redwood’s 20-year relationship with SAP via a wide range of connectors, but it’s also easy to create and manage automations across non-SAP apps, tools and systems.
